Volunteer: Fundraising Lead

Ledgerback Digital Commons Research Cooperative (Ledgerback) is seeking a Fundraising Lead to join our small and dynamic team.

About Ledgerback

Ledgerback is a research nonprofit and cooperative at the forefront of technology, innovation, research, and governance ("the frontier"). Ledgerback provides interdisciplinary research, digital tools, and other resources to members of academia, industry, and society, to build knowledge and improve decision-making on frontier-related topics.

Role Summary

The Fundraising Lead will be responsible for developing and executing our fundraising strategy, cultivating relationships with donors and partners, and securing funding to support our mission and grow our projects.

Qualifications & Skills

- 1+ years of experience in fundraising is a plus.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire a wide range of stakeholders.

- Strong organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

- Knowledge of fundraising techniques and legal regulations related to non-profit fundraising.

- Proficiency in fundraising software and CRM tools.

- Experience with crypto donations is a plus.

- Interested in frontier-related topics, such as decentralized technologies, digital infrastructure, and alternative ownership.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy.

- Identify, cultivate, and maintain relationships with current and potential donors.

- Plan and execute fundraising campaigns and events.

- Work closely with the Communications Lead to promote fundraising efforts.

- Monitor and report on fundraising progress.

- Stay updated on fundraising trends and best practices.
